Forest Stewardship Council (FSC)

The Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) is an international membership based non-profit organisation. Key activities include:

  • promoting responsible management of the world’s forests,
  • setting international standards for forest management
  • managing an accreditation and certification system for forest product producers and forest managers.

It aims to promote environmentally appropriate, socially beneficial and economically viable management of forests within Australia and in countries supplying the Australian forest products market.
